Arturo Gatti Fans Are In for a Treat at “Night of Thunder” Tribute 9/19

Fans of Arturo Gatti will not want to miss this night of special events celebrating the unforgettable boxing legend on Saturday, September 19, at Bally’s Atlantic City. In addition to 6 fights packed with the kind of excitement “Thunder” Gatti fans expect, there will be Gatti tributes, videos and special announcements throughout the evening.

The evening, “Night of Thunder: A Tribute to Arturo Gatti”, is presented by Bally’s Atlantic City in association with Main Events and Pat Lynch Boxing. In between fights, specially created video footage will be shown highlighting the life and career of the beloved warrior. Tributes will be given by noted boxing associates, as well as participation from Gatti family members. A special presentation will be given by Atlantic City Councilman, George Tibbitt.

An abundance of local talent will highlight the boxing card. In the main event Super Bantamweight, Teon Kennedy, 13-0, 5 KO’s of Philadelphia, PA, will take on Lante Addy, 6-4, 4 KO’s of Accra, Ghana. On the undercard, Anthony Flores, Philadelphia, PA 8-0, 5KO’s is featured in a 6-round Super Featherweight bout against Victor Valenzuela, 6-0, 1 KO of Passaic, NJ. Atlantic City fighter, Alfred Kinsey, 6-3-1, 3 KO’s will battle Philadelphia’s Garrett Wilson, 4-2, 2 KO’s in a 6 round Light Heavyweight fight. Also on the card will be Jeremy Bryan, a Light Welterweight Paterson, NJ favorite, 11-0, 4 KO’s in a 6 round bout, against Gary Bergeron of New Orleans, 10-4, 6 KO’s. Light Middleweight, Steven Martinez from Bronx, NY, 1-0, 1 KO, will be in a 4 round bout taking on Stanley Harvey, Norfolk, VA in his pro debut. Newcomers, Josh Mercado of Cape May, 1-0, will fight a Welterweight 4 rounder against Joel Nieves of Allentown, PA, in Nieves’ pro debut.

The event will be held at Bally’s Atlantic City. Ticket prices are $75 & $50. You can still purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. Doors 7:00pm, 1st bout 7:30pm.
