Amateur Boxing Now Available at R1 MMA Training Center, In Los Angeles

The R1 Training Center, L.A.’s original MMA gym, is now offering an amateur Boxing program headed by Chad Wigle.

Los Angeles, CA, April 19, 2011 –(PR.com)– The R1 Training Center, L.A.’s original MMA gym, is now offering an amateur Boxing program geared toward developing champions, right here in the “City of Champions,” Inglewood, CA. Long known as a destination for MMA masters and Combat Artist of all forms, R1 has now entered into the realm of the “sweet science.”

Commandeered by R1’s Boxing coach, Chad Wigle, an innovative and enthusiastic trainer with nearly 20 years coaching experience. R1’s Amateur Boxing Program (ABP) is aimed for those interested in competing in USA Boxing sanctioned events culminating in the Olympic Games.

‘We would like the kids in this program to know what it’s like to travel, experience the world outside of their everyday life and create opportunities from their athletic endeavors,” states Coach Chad.

Wigle, who is well known for using a body movement analysis and seasonal planning approach for developing young fighters into professional boxers, feels confidant that he can use the R1 mojo in his favor.

“The R1 Gym has a solid list of champions on its resume and I look forward to adding to that list with our youth program. Being set in an environment like R1, the only option they have is success, be that Boxing or transitioning into MMA.”

R1’s ABP takes place from 5PM – 7PM on Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings inside of the regulation size Boxing ring. Members will be schooled in the basics of the ‘sweet science’ while learning the core values of focus, discipline and structure.

For additional information about their R1 ABP program please check them out on the web @ www.R1Gym.com, call them @ 310.322.5552 or send an e-mail: [email protected].
