On Saturday, October 22, promoter Joseph Donofrio had the large Palace of Auburn Hills crowd on its feet with 15 action-packed bouts between many of Michigan’s best MMA fighters. The runaway king of Michigan MMA, “Armageddon” featured no less than three female fights and four Impact Fight League Championship fights.
In the night’s main event, newly crowned Impact Fight League Welterweight Champion Zack Burns moved his impressive record to 10-1 and successfully won the IFL title by making quick work of Tom Grisham, via an armbar in the first round.
As is the custom with Donofrio events, there were no stinkers. Every matchup held its own and kept the thousands in attendance paying attention.
The usual Donofrio extra touches, pyrotechnics, booming music, dancing ring girls and the one-of-a-kind announcing style of the superb Phil Davey were all in full effect and the evening was another all-around smashing success.

Bout 10: Rich Stafford defeated Tim Jenny by TKO/ref stoppage due to strikes in the first round.
Bout 11: Alanna Jones defeated Emma O’Conner by UD 30-27, 30-27, 30-27.
Bout 12: Flyweight title bout. Joel Vincent defeated Pat Hook by TKO/ref stoppage in the first round. Hook temporarily lost consciousness.
Bout 13: Light heavyweight title bout. Eric Madill defeated Ryan King by TKO/ref stoppage due to strikes in the first round.
Bout 14: Female Super Flyweight title bout. Chandra Engel defeated Yolanda Gonzales by unanimous decision 50-45, 50-45, 50-45.
Bout 15: Welterweight title bout. Zack Burns defeated Tom Grisham by Tap Out in the first round.
