Joe Louis Biopic in Development
Variety Magazine has reported that a biopic on boxer Joe Louis is currently being developed. Bill Duke is currently slated to direct the movie.
Joe Louis Barrow II, the son of the boxer, has signed his father’s life rights to Kirmser Ponturo Group back in 2013 and they will also help produce the film.
Joe Louis was a symbolic figure in boxing during the time period leading up to World War II and during World War II. His fights with Max Schmeling, a German boxer who actually despised Hitler, are his most memorable.
The producers will be Bill Duke, Gil Adler, and Joel Eisenberg. Eisenberg stated, “This project has been a passion project of mine for 25 years. It remains to me the greatest true-life story never filmed to its potential.”
Tyson Fury Goes on Homophobic Tirade
Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury had an exclusive interview with the Mail recently and went on a homophobic tirade that amny view as being very offensive.
In his interview he stated, “There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil come home. One of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other is paedophilia. Who would have thought in the 50s and 60s that those first two would be legalized? “
He continued, “When I say paedophiles could be made legal, it sounds crazy. But if I had said to you about the first two being made legal in the 50s, I would have been looked upon as a crazy man. If I would have told you 120 years ago that a 1,000 ton aeroplane is going to fly through the sky, a piece of steel, that would have been considered ludicrous. People can say, ‘you are against abortions, you are against paedophilia, you are against homosexuality, but my faith and my culture is based on the Bible.’”
