Michigan’s Premier Boxing Promoter is Back!
AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN — Friday, January 6, 2012, at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan’s top combat-sports promoters, Donofrio Entertainment in association with Palace Sports and Entertainment, will present a night of world-class professional boxing in the State’s finest venue: the world-famous Palace of Auburn Hills.
Showcasing some of the area’s most popular fighters, “Fight Night at the Palace” will feature the bruising back-and-forth action that has become the hallmark of all Donofrio events.
The Palace has a rich tradition of professional boxing and since taking up the reins in 2007, Joseph Donofrio has kept that rich tradition alive by presenting the best action in the Midwest to thousands of loyal fans at every show.
While match-ups are still being formulated, Donofrio says he’s got some surprises in store for Michigan’s fight enthusiasts.
The last Donofrio Boxing event held at the Palace was entitled “War Of 1812 – The Rematch” pitted Detroit’s Lanardo “Pain Server” Tyner against Windsor, Ontario’s “Gorgeous” Andre Gorges for the NABA-US Welterweight Championship.
The heated border clash drew thousands of fans and captured the imagination of history buffs throughout the area. October’s event will look to recapture that magic.
“I am honored to be doing another boxing show at The Palace,” said Donofrio. “Whether it’s MMA or boxing, one thing I always guarantee is more than your money’s worth of great fights and tons of special added attractions. If you love combat sports and want to see the best boxing show you can see outside of Las Vegas, come on out to a Donofrio Entertainment event. I built my name one great show at a time!”
