Known as a premier destination for world-class sporting events, Atlantic City holds a special place in boxing history with many of the world’s most revered boxers, promoters, managers and trainers all working in Atlantic City. Resorts Casino Hotel in conjunction with the Atlantic City Multi-Cultural Heritage Festival, will present a once-in-a-lifetime event – the All Star Boxing Legends Gala Tribute Dinner on Saturday, June 2 in the Superstar Theater.

“The City is known around the world for its world-class entertainment and Mayor Langford’s vision to celebrate the history of boxing in a way that has never been done before was something I wanted Resorts to be part of,” said Aaron Gomes, executive vice president of operations at Resorts Casino Hotel. “As a property that embraces Atlantic City’s history, the Boxing Gala will be an event that will undoubtedly catch the attention of sports enthusiasts world-wide, and continue to highlight our varied assets.”

“From the world championship fight of 1963 to Mike Tyson’s 13 bouts to the storied battles between Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward, Atlantic City has seen more than its fair share of highlight reel moments,” said the Honorable Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford. “From debut fights for up-and-comers to the established greats, Atlantic City has been on the forefront of the boxing scene and this not-to-be-missed gala provides a unique setting to remember, celebrate and honor those associated with the sport of boxing in Atlantic City.”

The Gala is another first for Atlantic City, bringing together boxing legends from throughout the years to celebrate Atlantic City’s place in the sports history and the accomplishments of boxing pioneers like Lou Duva, Joe Fraiser, Bert Sugar and more. Guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with more than 50 of the sports leading contributors, including Mike Tyson, Frank Cappuccino, Joe Cortez, Steve Cunningham, Bobby Czyz, Lou Duva, Bobby Goodman, Bruce Seldon, Larry Hazzard and many more.
