Atlantic City, NJ – With the stakes higher than ever, “Mighty” Mike Arnaoutis will face another tough challenge when he meets Baltimore, MD’s Tim “The Pitbull” Coleman in a 12 round contest for the vacant USBA junior welterweight title. Joe Deguardia’s Star Boxing will promote the event in the classy Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center in New York City, NY.
Arnaoutis, 22-3-2 (10 KO), of Atlantic City, NJ by way of Sparta, Greece has faced the very elite of the division including champs Juan Urango, Kendall Holt and Ricardo Torres. The heavy-handed southpaw slickster is back with trainer Ray McCline and says that he feels rejuvenated and ready to go.
“I’m hungry to win back my title. I’m happy to be back fighting in New York City where I’ve had some of my best fights. I want to thank Star Boxing for giving me this opportunity. I want to win a world more than ever and I need to first beat Coleman to achieve my dream.”
The 16-1-1 (4 KO) Coleman’s experience comes from 180 amateur bouts and numerous tours in training camp with the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Ricky Hatton and Zab Judah. He has been training for two months in Manchester, England with trainer Lee Beard after a bout with Marvin Cordova fell through. Though he has never fought in a 12 round fight, he is determined to show the world what he’s made of.
“This is the biggest fight of my life and will make me or break me in boxing,” says Coleman. “I’m not gonna let this man beat me. Come December 3 I’m gonna let it all hang out!”
