Bernard Hopkins: There Will Be Two Fights With Jean Pascal

Bernard Hopkins revealed that his December 19 WBC Light Heavyweight challenge of champion Jean Pascal will be the first of two fights between the American and Canadian stars.

“There will be two fights with me and Pascal,” said the 45-year-old Hopkins. “The chickens haven’t hatched yet but they’re there. I have a contract that I agreed to, and the contract adheres me to is that when I beat Pascal I will immediately give him a rematch, in a timely fashion – 100 or 120 days. We have to do it quick.”

Hopkins added that the rematch isn’t necessarily obligated to happen in the United States. “I will go, at this stage, I am old, I will go to where the money is. I will go to Mars. Okay, I’ll go anywhere.”
