By William Holmes

The following is the Boxing Insider notebook for the week of April 8th to April 15th, covering the comings and goings in the sport of boxing that you might have missed.

Canelo vs. Lara Announced for July 12th

Erislandy Lara (19-1-2) has pulled out of his scheduled fight with Ishe Smith to take on Caleno Alvarez (43-1-1) on July 12th for a pay-per view bout.
