One champion has seen enough of all the posing, posturing and handpicking that is so prevalent in the sport of prizefighting today. Boxing has enough mouths who know how to talk the talk, but walking the walk is what it’s supposed to be about.
“Boxing fans are hungry for a new guy to come around who goes to the ring and takes care of business, and doesn’t shoot his mouth off in a negative way,” says the world Middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik. “When Ali was running his mouth, he had something to say. Too many of the guys today don’t say anything worth listening to and they aren’t even funny.”
Floyd Mayweather, take note.
