PHILADELPHIA, PA (July 8, 2009)—It was a festive atmosphere on Wednesday as the final press conference was held in conjunction of the big ESPN 2 televised boxing card that will take place at The Arena in South Philadelphia where a great night of boxing will take place.
In the main event, Matt Godfrey will defend his NABF Cruiserweight title against Shawn Hawk. In the co-feature, Shaun George and Chris Henry will get it on in a much anticipated Light Heavyweight affair.
The show, which is promoted by Blaine Garner’s Shalyte Entertainment in association with Jimmy Burchfield’s CES Boxing, has a stacked undercard which will feature The WBF All-Americas Light Heavyweight title between Tony Ferrante and Billy Bailey. Also appearing on the card will be rising Jr. Middleweight Derek “Pooh” Ennis battling John Mackey as appearances by Olivia Fonseca, Jackie Davis and Derrick Webster in separate bouts.
