Floyd Not Off Hook Yet In Shooting

The New York Daily News reported in it’s Friday edition that Las Vegas police investigating the shooting outside a skating rink, seized evidence from the upscale home of six-time world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, including two handguns, ammunition and two bullet-proof vests. Las Vegas police also took two of Mayweather’s automobiles to examine more closely for possible links to the August 23 alleged shooting.

According to the Associated Press, one of the alleged victims of the shooting incident told investigators that it was Mayweather who threatened him about ten minutes before another man, allegedly an accomplice of Mayweather, shot bullets at his car from the rink’s parking lot, as they drove away on Sunday evening.

Mayweather is scheduled to face Juan Manuel Marquez in a major fight on September 19 in Las Vegas. HBO is set to broadcast part one of the four-part “24/7 Mayweather Marquez” series beginning on Saturday night August 29.
