Henry and Godfrey Shine on ESPN 2 Friday Night Fights

PHILADELPHIA (JULY 11, 2009)—Matt Godfrey took another step forward to gaining a shot at the Cruiserweight championship of the world with a ten round unanimous decision over Shawn Hawk that capped off a great night of boxing that was promoted by Blaine Garner’s Shalyte Promotions and Jimmy Burchfield’s CES Boxing at The Arena in South Philadelphia this past Friday night.

In the co-feature, Chris Henry jumped right back into Light Heavyweight contention as he survived an early onslaught from Shaun George to comeback and stop George at 1:06 of round six of their ten round Light Heavyweight affair.

Derek “Pooh” Ennis scored an exciting six round unanimous decision over game John Mackey in a Jr. Middleweight tussle.
