Mike Tyson Broadway Show Threatened By Anonymous Twitter User

by Johnny Walker

An Twitter user has threatened to gun down members of the audience at Mike Tyson’s “Undisputed Truth” Broadway show at the Longacre Theater in Manhattan.

The Twitter user, who goes by the handle “Anonymous Celebrity” (@obamasmistress), was apparently inspired by recent incident in Aurora, Colorado, where the audience at the latest Batman movie was attacked by James Holmes. Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58 others.

“I might just shoot up this theater in new York I know they leave their exit doors unlocked. Ha now I gotta plan it step by step,” the user tweeted on July 29.

“Planning a murder is harder than I thought but people are going to die just like they did in the theater,” he followed up on July 30.

“Anonymous Celebrity,” however, has also threatened to kill numerous other people, including Chris Brown and Wendy Williams, making his threats appear to be more those of the garden variety Internet troll than of a seriously deranged individual.

Twitter initially denied the NYPD’s request for the user’s information, but the police returned today with a subpoena.

Police officers will be stationed at the Longacre Theater “until we find this guy,” said a police spokesperson.
