– On Friday, May 4th 2012, Tucson’s top boxing talent will be on full display. SCG in association with Face II Face Events presents “Noche de Boxeo” at the Diamond Center located at the Desert Diamond Casino on I19 & Pima Mine Road, Sahuarita, Arizona, just 10 miles outside the City of Tucson.
Cinco de Mayo, is one of the biggest boxing weekends and has produced some of the best fights to have ever taken place. Two things are for sure, Tucson loves to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and loves its boxing. “Noche de Boxeo” will be the perfect combination of fireworks and skills.
The main event features Tucson’s very own lightweight, Juan “Taco Man” Suazo. He is known for his toughness, relentlessness, and crowd pleasing fight style. The Co-Main Event is fellow Tucson native, super bantamweight, Isaac “El Huracán” Hidalgo. Both fighters have a rabid and loyal fan base and come to fight! Suazo and Hidalgo will be in separate 6 round bouts.
The undercard is highlighted with the highly anticipated pro-debut of light heavyweight, Robert Lopez. Lopez is trained by Jesse Haro. He has held several state and region championships and has competed at the National Golden Gloves and the USA tournament. Lopez is ready to make his mark in the light heavyweight division.
The remaining undercard features undefeated welterweight, Luis Borrego, undefeated super bantamweight, Emilio “Milo-Time” Colon-Garcia, undefeated female top prospect, Annette Agredano, super middleweight, Erik Orosco, and bantamweight, Jensen Ramirez. All of which are 4 round bouts.
The press conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 26th. The official weigh-in is Thursday, May 3rd. the location is yet to be determined.
