PBC on Fox Sports 1 results: Flores and Williams win by Knockout

Live from the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Premier Boxing Champions continues with its new Tuesday night series on Fox Sports 1.

Showcasing undefeated fighters looking to take the next step to bigger and better fights, PBC continues to give their young talent a large televised audience as an audition to fight the stables top boxers in their respective weight classes.

Moises Flores (23-0 16KO) vs. Luis Emanuel Cusolito (21-1 19KO): Super Bantamweight:

Neither of these fighters came out trying to feel the other one out. Flores and Cusolito added another chapter between the warriors of Mexico and Argentina, respectively, with both fighters throwing big shots and showcasing great chins in return.

Flores showed a very awkward style, leaving his left hand down, which opened up a lot of overhand rights to land for the hard hitting Argentine, Cusolito.

Cusolito controlled the earlier rounds, but began to tire, giving up the rest to Flores, until around the 10th round, when both fighters seemed to get their second winds.

This fight was a give and take from both men. Little was left of defense, as Flores and Cusolito continued to move forward, throw punches and never take a step back. The championship rounds did not disappoint, as both men never let their will or heart take them out of the fight. It couldn’t have been much closer of a fight, Flores punches seemed to be a bit crisper towards the end, and with 2 minutes left in the final round, Flores landed a hard right hand, that stumbled Cusolito, and the ref stepped in and stopped the fight.

At the rate these men were fighting, it seemed you would have let Cusolito go down and address him after an 8 count. But the ref saw something that made him decide that it was enough.

Julian Williams (20-0-1 12KO) vs. Luciano Leonel Cuello (35-3 17KO): Jr. Middleweight

Julian Williams came out to make a statement against an opponent who has been in against some of the best in the division. Cuello has three losses, one to Willie Nelson, Canelo Alvarez and Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. When he loses, he loses to big names.

Williams came out already calling out former Jr. Middleweight Champ and PBC color commentator for the night Austin “No Doubt” Trout. And Williams did not disappoint in taking full advantage of being the main event.

Williams came out with the sharper, harder punches. He landed his jab very clean, and continued with two overhand rights that ended up stunning the normally sturdy Argentinian Cuello at the midway point of the 1st round. Pounding Cuello against the ropes until the ref had to jump in and stop the fight.
