Source: Klitschko Okay With 50-50 Split With Haye

A Team Klitschko source has revealed that lawyers between the camps of reigning WBO/IBF/Ring Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and WBA title-holder David Haye are currently engaged in discussion about a potential September or October blockbuster heavyweight showdown.

Wladimir Klitschko would meet his arch-rival Haye in a unification bout and according to the source, Wladimir, the dominant and long-established champion, has no issues with an even 50-50% purse split with Haye who has had all of three bouts at heavyweight and, to this point, has not yet proven himself to be a major gate or pay-per-view attraction. Klitschko’s last two fights against moderately-known challengers attracted attendance figures of over 50,000 each.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Klitschko is adamantly determined to make the gregarious but elusive Haye his very next opponent, much to the delight of heavyweight boxing followers across the globe. Stay tuned…
