Vitali Klitschko To Stage Farewell Fight With David Haye in Kiev?

by Johnny Walker

According to the German publication Bild, WBC world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is not yet finished with his boxing career.

Klitschko, who is busy in Ukrainian politics leading his UDAR (“Punch”) party in upcoming October elections, is according to Bild planning on at least one more fight, next year in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev, against long-time nemesis David “Hayemaker” Haye of Great Britain.

Haye, who was critical of Klitschko’s successful title defense against Manuel Charr last Saturday, said that he “desperately” wants the fight with Vitali, who he promises to knock out.

To this point in his surefire Hall of Fame career, Klitschko has not even suffered a knockdown, much less a KO.

Haye had been banned from the WBC after his press conference brawl with Dereck Chisora early this year, but last week following talks with the fighter, WBC boss Jose Sulaiman cleared the way for the Hayemaker to return against his champion.
