Wladimir’s Fear: Harrison Knocking Out Haye

With Floyd Mayweather in hiding from Manny Pacquiao, there seems to be a bit of fear running rampant these days in the upper echelons of pro boxing.

Reigning Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko too, revealed his personal concerns – he thinks that David Haye might get knocked out by Audley Harrison next month which would be a gigantic upset. “He (Haye) says a lot but he doesn’t follow through with the promises,” said Klitschko in London this week. “Then he says, putting the pressure – ‘I’m retiring next year. Don’t blame me. I won’t fight Klitschko because I’m retiring. There’s my 31st birthday, I’m retiring.'”

Klitschko, probably the most astute boxing mind in the sport today, who has been hunting Haye for a fight for two years now, rates Harrison a chance to shock Haye and the boxing world. “I’m afraid David Haye will retire earlier (than age 31),” said Klitschko. “Because next month he’s fighting the guy (Harrison). I believe because of the abilities of David Haye not to be able to take a punch – I’m even afraid of him to get knocked out by Audley Harrison. And I actually say Audley Harrison can knock out David Haye.”

Klitschko will defend his WBO/IBF/RING/IBO world titles against Derek Chisora in Germany in December.
