Craig McEwan backs John McCallum

Looking to build on a previous win over Philip Townley, former amateur champion John McCallum (1-0) is looking to go to 2-0 by taking on Doncaster’s James Tucker. His fight forms part of a seven fight card on the Prospect Promotions at Ravenscraig Sports facility on May 20th

To prepare for the fight John has been enlisting the help of Edinburgh’s stateside superstar Craig McEwan. Back over in Edinburgh after a recent fight with Irelands Andy Lee, McEwan rates McCallums boxing abilities and singles out his jab as one of his best assets “John is a good lad, he has a good jab on him”

McEwan also goes on to exercise caution to McCallum about ascent to the top “He has to learn the game first. John is still young but if he trains the right way and works hard, you never know how far he can go, but at this stage in his career there is still a long way to go”

After having to cancel his last appearance due to an injury McCallum is sure to want to impress and looks to give the audience his first knockout of his paid career.

John McCallums fight forms part of a seven fight card that also includes Paul Allison, William Steel and John Downie. The all action card takes place at Ravenscraig Sports Facility on May 20th and is a fully licensed venue. Tickets priced £30 are available from John McCallum directly via www.johnboymccallumboxing.com and further information is available by www.prospectboxing.co.uk .
